Biography

Philippe Ségalard spent his childhood in a small village near Paris. His initial experience was that of the rural world.

After having had several jobs in restaurants, he slowly came to painting, while pursuing other activities, among which literary studies.

When 28, he decided to completely dedicate his life to painting. He then frequented and studied in Pierre Mézin’s studio.

Encounters with people of the stage or with poets have led to co-operations.

He now lives and works in Versailles, where his studio is.
